I was wandering around the internet looking at possible birthday presents for myself… tee hee… and I came across a collection of amazing jewelers on Klimt02. They kindly allowed me to post the work of Ela Bauer below. I’m sure I’ll be back to that site to ogle more amazing creations.

FASHION: Katz Pyjamas

I have briefly fallen off the bloggosphere due to work and pure fatigue.  But whilst flicking through a horrible girl mag at work today my eyes popped when I saw the work of Mary Katrantzou. I love the silhouettes, the patterns, colours, combinations…  everything is so explosive and yet confined due to the shapes and tailoring. Fashion can be great craic. AND she’s designed a 2012 Spring Collection for TopShop. Nice.

I could look at this Matthew Donaldson video all day, it’s mesmeric and the sound design by Mutant Jukebox is part of the spell-binding appeal.

FASHION: Plywood Glamour

We have a new secondhand desk in our abode and I am starting the process of a gentle sanding down and a patient waxing to restore it to it’s former glory. I think it is a fancy kind of patterned plywood nicely curved into a distinctive modernist style. I love it and can’t wait to see what it looks like when I’m done. In the meantime I spotted these pieces on The Finders Keepers that reminded me of said desk. Wouldn’t mind owning one of these My Mother Mabel big bangles please. Although they look like they should be worn in a sunny clime so I would require a holiday in the sun to do them justice…

Although these are not real, it doesn’t stop me taking a look every so often as this Sexy Sweater site is fun, distracting and even has it’s own appropriate music player to finish off the upbeat experience!
