I completed work on this album cover and was also sampled on a few of the album tracks. Looking forward to this release by the talented Lakker.

The fantastic Silver Kites are sampled on the track below.

I’m in Berlin and have within the first week, managed to miraculously make some music… …however brief it is!

MUSIC: A Christmas Song

December 15, 2012

Here is some blatant family propaganda. Firstly a Christmas Song by my brother Sean Carpio who is trying to raise funds for his Debut WoWos Album. And below is a demo of a WoWos song he recorded himself playing all the instruments and also doing the vocal lines. It’s absolutely terrific music and I hope you all enjoy it and spread the word. If you donate you will receive some wonderful rewards in recompense. So check it out here!

MUSIC: Back

November 10, 2012

Listening Club is back and settling into the chilly days that spell the coming of more wintry times… perfect for huddling around a fire and sharing music.

MUSIC: Finnish Delights

April 17, 2012

Continuing the soothing muted feel of yesterday’s post I decided to post this lulling song by Regina with its equally pacifying video shot by Osma Harvilahti. As the sun shines warmly into my window, it feels just right.

I heard this on the Lyric Website when I was catching up with missed Gloria shows. It’s just very very lovely. Here is an extract of Senex Puerum Portabat by Nico Muhly.

And you can hear the whole piece here on NPR. Then, you can if you wish purchase it on Amazon.

Late due to me… but here is the latest posting from The Dublin Listening Group.

Here is something I did last month as a vocal warm up, now resuscitated with some bleeps and electronic what not.

MUSIC: Repetition

March 2, 2012

Thanks to Eomac I can’t stop listening to Andy Stott… over and over again. And last night I purchased these tracks to satisfy the itch he created. Always feels good to support electronic musicians, whoever they may be by legitimately buying their music. This track is utterly sexy. Gritty, dirty and clouded, and most importantly adeptly produced for listening/dancing pleasure.
