FINE ART: Still Past

December 7, 2011

As I get older I have become more and more nostalgic about my upbringing in Peru and these oil paintings capture the dark musty odd atmosphere of my great aunt’s house, with its dark painting-lined rooms and the opposite sunny memories of the abundance of these fruits that I enjoyed as a child. I found Arturo Garcia perusing through Gallery 71’s artists where I had previously found the afore-posted Shigeki Tomura.
