ART: Sound of Cardboard

May 9, 2011

I actually watched this video without sound and thought it looked interesting and beautiful. When I did have time to listen I was very pleasantly surprised, as the audio is well captured and you get a real sense of what it must be like to navigate this wonderful piece of architectural sculpture. Your ear looks for similarities in sound, like rain falling, and I think inevitably, you also look for rhythms although they evade you at all times. The movements of the wires are so full of character and somewhat frenetic, when you see so many of them wiggling about. It’s playful yet powerful. Would love to have experienced this in person.

Thank you Zimoun.
